Senior Thesis: A Weekly Update

Happy Tuesday!

I hope that everyone has had a chance to stop by the LRC to see my senior art exhibit! As well as Maddy's! If not it would be awesome if you could stop by sometime this week, we both worked really hard for months on our exhibits.

The reception this past Sunday went really well! Many people came to see Maddy and I present our exhibits and I even had a few special guests come, my students!! It was so great the kids and their parents got the chance to see their work displayed in an exhibit, I know the students all felt like superstars.

For those who haven't seen my exhibit here are a few pictures!

The exhibits should be up for about a week so go check them out! I also made a website that you can visit, www.shelbeden.com/education

I am so excited about this project that has been developing and that will continue to develop as I strive to reach my goal in becoming a tool and helpful rescource to all teachers and bring art into all subjects taught in the classroom!

Congratulations, Shelby! It was wonderful to see all of the students, families, and staff from Keystone come to the gallery on Sunday to share in your accomplishments. All of our art faculty were there, including those on sabbatical (thank you! Darrell and Boris!) and our adjuncts Hannah and Chris (both of whom are tried and true classroom teachers) as well as President Blevins. For those of you who missed it, you have until October 31st to check it out.

Great job, Shelby! Your lessons looked like tons of fun, and it was great that your students got to come to your show. I'm sure you're going to make a great art teacher.
