As any follower of our blog knows, our department encourages students to study abroad for a short-term or longer stay. Studying abroad is a fantastic way to learn about another culture and experience art, museums, and so much more.
A recent survey of GC art alumni in February of this year revealed that nearly 50% of the recent art grads have studied abroad. That's fantastic! Are you interested?
Consider a CCSA course with Dr. Decker next Winter.
CCSA is a consortium that offers opportunities for college students to participate in study abroad experiences in English-speaking countries. Travel to London and take in some other sites and sights with Earl Gray (aka Dr. Decker). I've written about this previously. Click here!
Departure date is December 26, 2013, with a return in early January 2014 -- plenty of time to gear yourself up for Spring 2014 classes. The topic of the course that I teach is "Great Exhibitions" and we'll visit fourteen exhibitions or collections together. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to visit sites on your own.
Talk to your friends --- see who's up for joining you on this study abroad experience in London. Or, if you have a friend from another school and want him/her to join you, contact CCSA to see if that person's school is part of our consortium.
