Recycling thrift store artwork and other links

Thirft store art is fun to look at usually because it's terrible. These artists have made it awesome.

Stepping Out for Art

The Berea Arts Council presents 'Stepping Out for Art'. It is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 233 Battlefield Memorial Hwy.

Event tickets can be purchased at the BAC gallery, Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They also can be reserved by calling 985-9317 or emailing info@bereaartscouncil.org.

Prices are $30 for BAC members and $35 for non-members. Non-members who join by Feb. 1 may purchase up to two tickets for $20 each.

Proceeds from the event will help fund BAC’s annual events, exhibits and programs.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, supports the Berea Arts Council with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

An interesting article in The Telegraph about how performance art should be sold.
