"The Carnegie Center is pleased to present the exhibition Project Reclamation, a visual art exhibition to help raise awareness and educate the community about Mountaintop Removal and its effects on the environment, society, politics and more. This exhibit features artwork by Alex Adams, Rachel Brewer, Denise Burge, Aron Conaway, Joel Darland, Wayne Ferguson, Albertus Gorman, Jo Ann Grimes, Joshua Howard, Michael Koerner, McKinley Moore, Mary Margaret Sparks and Julie Yoder. Project Reclamation is a grassroots effort started by Louisville artist Mary Margaret Sparks in partnership with Kentuckians For The Commonwealth. I am so sorry to have missed the opening last night. Congratulations to all of the alumni involved in this event. And, particular congrats to Mary Margaret (GC Fall '06) for her curatorial debut. Thanks, of course, to our friends at The Carnegie just over the River in New Albany, especially curator Karen G. for bringing the content of such a show to a wider audience. I am sorry to have missed the opening last evening, but am looking forward to visiting the show between Thanksgiving and the break. If you visit the show, please post, so we can share the feedback!
