opportunities for people to find value in the arts, participate in the arts and benefit from the arts through programs, grants and services.
Strategically placed in the
Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, the Kentucky Arts Council is publicly
funded by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the
Arts, an independent agency of the federal government. The Kentucky Arts
Council invests these resources statewide in those who create, perform, teach
and present the arts.
§ Assisting
with KAC events including Kentucky Crafted: The Market in Lexington (March 1 - 3),
Arts Day in Kentucky (February 13) and Kentucky Writers’ Day (April 24) in
addition to workshops and other events. Duties will include assisting program
staff, event set up and take down and other duties as needed.
§ Administrative
tasks including filing, photo copying, assisting with front desk, etc.
§ Assist
with KAC exhibitions: installing, packing, labeling and transporting art work.
This
is a Spring semester internship that will pay a stipend of $950 and will be
based in Frankfort. Students will work approximately 10-12 hours per week. Must
be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
