Black History Month at the Arts & Cultural Center The Scott County
Arts Consortium would like to announce the opening reception of its Black History Month Exhibit: "Faces of Color: From Realism to Photography". "Faces of Color" will run from February 12 - March 19. The opening reception will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Scott County Arts & Cultural /Welcome Center located in downtown Georgetown at 117 North Water Street, Georgetown, KY 40324. The show includes collage, wood carvings, photography as well as traditional genres of drawing and painting. The night will also include a performance by jazz musicians and light refreshment. Bring a friend and check out our new finds in the gift gallery or bring a Valentine's Date and enjoy a free night of entertainment! Come help us celebrate Black History Month. The show will be featuring local Georgetown photographer William McIntyre's work as well as Lexington artists Sonja Brooks and LaVon Williams. We will also be showcasing emerging New York Artist, Jerome Neal, Sr. Georgetown artist Karen LaBach will have some new Jazz pieces. You don't want to miss out!
