Senior Thesis: A Weekly Update

Hello all! This week for my weekly update I will be sharing some details of what Maddy has been working on over the past week! At this point Maddy and I are working hard to get a good idea of what components are going to be a part of our final show in October and how we want our work to be displayed.  Here is a sneak peek of what Maddy has been up to so far and what she is in the process of creating:

Some sketches to be incorporated in product packaging!

This week Maddy has been working on packaging for her product. It is Maddy's vision that when viewers interact with the packaging they have an experience. She is paying close attention to detail in the way the shoes are displayed, the way the packaging is folded, and incorporating shoe strings into the packaging. Maddy didn't want to just print something on a standard shoe box, she wanted the packaging to become a part of the brand.

In addition to working on some packaging, Maddy has been working on some info graphic based wall mounts that will explain the breakdown of design elements and the process she has been using to design her brand. She has been keeping in mind the importance of the display of the show and how to convey her brand without making it a business, the focus of her show is the graphic design and the brand of a business rather than being a complete business. Maddy wants to visually represent a brand of a business through visual elements.

Maddy is working very hard to develop her ideas and is continuously thinking of new ideas and ways to display her work next month!
